Practiced in many cultures throughout history massage is a long standing hands on therapy using a combination of stretching and pressure designed to relieve stress and muscle tension, reduce pain and promote balance within the body. Massage is not just for relaxing, it has many health benefits including improved blood flow and lymphatic drainage, reduced muscle fatigue, improve general movement and injury prevention.
There are different types of massage including deep tissue, therapeutic and sports massage, all of which are available at our clinic. Please discuss with the practitioner the type of massage you wish to have as techniques can be adjusted to suit your preference. Massage techniques and pressure will always be tailored to the patient and presenting symptoms/needs.
